Online prescriptions – quick & secure 

Our online prescription service allows individuals to request repeat prescriptions for a range of common medications without needing a face-to-face GP visit or online consultation.

The service is suitable for individuals who have had medication previously prescribed by a doctor. 

You must complete an online medical questionnaire that will be reviewed by a doctor and a prescription can be issued if deemed medically appropriate. 

Prescriptions can be sent to any pharmacy within the Republic of Ireland via Healthmail. We do not post hard copy prescriptions.

Repeat prescriptions should only be requested when your current supply is due to run out.

If you still have medication remaining from a previous prescription, a new one will not be issued.

When you're due for a renewal, you’ll need to complete a new order.

The cost of the service is €25

Prescriptions are processed within 3 hours during business opening hours.

Monday to Friday - 8AM - 8PM, Weekends 9AM - 5PM, Bank holidays 9AM - 1PM

If you are not suitable for treatment, you will be notified by email or phone.
If the prescribing doctor determines that the requested treatment is not appropriate for you, they may recommend booking an online GP consultation or advise you to visit your regular GP for a face-to-face assessment.

Irish pharmacies recognize and accept online prescriptions from HealthHero. They are treated with the same validity and respect as prescriptions issued by private doctors.
