Who it’s not suitable for
This service is not suitable for infants under 12 months.
We do not currently carry out Assessments of Need or other standardised assessments.
Speech and Language Therapy is not recommended for those with:
- Acute swallowing difficulties requiring hospital care
- Complex neurological cases needing inpatient support

Yes. Online therapy is proven to be effective for many speech, language and voice concerns. It offers the same level of professional care as in-person therapy, with added convenience.
A device with a camera and microphone, a stable connection and a quiet space. For children, a parent or caregiver should be present.
It depends on your needs and progress. Your therapist will recommend the right plan for you or your child.
1. Each service user including children must have their own HealthHero account to book an appointment.
2. Please ensure you set up a new account for each service user (including children), each with a unique email address and patient information. Bookings made under a parent’s account or family members will be cancelled, and refunds are not available in these cases.
3. For patients aged 15 or younger, a parent or guardian must be physically present throughout the consultation. If you’ve booked under the wrong account, you’ll need to create a child profile and book a new consultation.
1. Stable internet connection, private space to consult in, ability to share relevant medical history with the clinician, and willingness to engage with a video telemedicine consultation.
2. All children under the age of 15 years need to have a parent or guardian present for the consultation.

2. We can use screening assessment and observational tools to provide feedback and outline a treatment plan.
1. No, at present we do not provide formal reports from our consultations.
2. We do make available a copy of the clinical notes for the patients after the consultation. This can include therapies and guidance from the Speech and Language therapist.
We are not a service for teaching English as a second language, other languages, or accent modification.
